3. Natural Bridge, VA

The Natural Bridge area not only has the bridge (one of the original 7 natural wonders of the world) but also several tacky roadside attractions like Foamhenge, Monster House, Caverns and a Wax Museum. We only visited the bridge and Foamhenge. The Monster House was closed but we were told it is handicap friendly. Foamhenge (a lifesize foam replica of Stonehenge) is on a hillside with a steep grass pathway leading to it. You will need somebody strong to push you to the top. The Natural Bridge is serviced by a shuttle bus with a wheelchair lift and the pathways once you get to the bridge are very smooth and mostly paved.
Here is a photo of the steep path leading to Foamhenge:

Dear Mark — I am Julie Coles’ aunt and she was kind enough to send us a copy of your slides. What beautiful pictures you have. We once lived in Arlington, Virginia when my husband went to law school at GW in DC, and we loved to travel through Virginia. Thanks for a beautiful reminder of our past! Good luck to you. Sharon Feix
