Timberline ski area (link below) is located in Canaan Valley, West Virginia. This is one of the two ski areas in this valley – the other one being Canaan Valley State Park ski area. Timberline’s slopes are narrower than Canaan Valley’s but the vertical drop is a couple hundred feet more. One big problem I faced at Timberline is that one of the two chairlifts had a seat pad that prevented me from being able to attach my safety harness. Also, as you can see in the photo below, it is a little tough getting from the handicap parking to the slope. Getting to the bathrooms is also a little difficult and requires a roundabout path. A helpful friend is really needed at this resort.
